Since I was feeling so low earlier it seemed like a good day to buy myself something. So off to Staples I headed. Hate going to Staples it is like Barnes & Noble (Book store) just cannot walk out without purchasing something. Today it was a new Mouse and Keyboard. The Mouse is the Microsoft Wireless 5000, and already I in love with it, it is one smooth device. Will have to get use to the buttons that allows you to move between screens (back and forward buttons). Though already I am liking them.

The keyboard is the Microsoft 3000 v 2.0. Has a great feel to the keys, They are smooth and fast, just the right feel and takes very little effort to work the keys. It has about ten programmable keys (will have to get use to them). Windows 7 detected both immediately.

Also purchased the Sony eBook Reader (6' screen, $199.00). Been wanting one for a long time, and today seem to be the right day to get one. Will be playing with it for a couple of days to get the feel of the reader. This will change how much I pay for books. There goes my great library, no more buying retail hard backs. (Purchased in Oregon—no taxes.)

Damn I going to have to stop these bad feeling days, they can get a little expensive. :D

Hello Lee,

Could you post a short review of the e-book you bought?
I would like to know if you like the way it works, and if it's worth the money spend?

Have a nice day!

zx81, It is nice, not much bigger than the standard paperback book. It is easy to download material from the internet off of Sony's eBook site which offers just about any reading material you may want. It has you load up an application which allows you to download whatever you want to read to your computer (you can also use the program as a eReader) then onto the eBook.

Had to go into Boise today to take one of my sons into the doctor for a foot operation, so I took it with me (loaded up Dan Brown's "The Lost Symbol"—great read) and had no problems. Navigation through the pages is easy, you have a page up/page down button, or use use a finger and slide it up or down on the viewer to move between pages.

I would recommend it to anyone who is looking for one. At present I have twenty books loaded on to it along with the latest issue of PC Magazine, along with a few other periodicals.

Guess you can say this is the new direction for those who like to read.

My partner is practically blind and she finds it almost impossible to read now - so having adjustable font sizes on the e-reader sounds like a good idea for her.

As for me, I hope it's not too heavy and is made sturdy - I have a nasty habit of nodding off and dropping the book I was reading on my head, and then from my head onto the floor  :p

The reader is light weigh, and should be able to handle even those with hard heads. I bought the leather folder which helps protect the reader. :)

Cool. Thanks for the info Lee :)

When I first heard of these e-readers (on the 'Colbert Report' of all places  ) I couldn't envisage it replacing a real book. But now, I'm starting to think different about them now.
