Can i use windows 7 as my web server?

I used Ubuntu 24.04 as my server but sometimes it keeps freezing like an dork and i have to restart, but windows 7 never frozed so can i use as my web server? It's using Xampp and i have to connect from different computers. I keep thinking if that Windows 7 is backdoored easily while linux isn't but can i use it anyway to risk security?

Specs from the laptop server
AMD A4 6210
AMD RADEON R3
SSD With 335 GB
16GB RAM
The laptop is from 2015.

I don't know about using Windows 7 as an online server, but Hard Configurator will go through Windows 7 and tighten up a lot of loose security settings... Find it at Major Geeks.

Can i use Windows Server 2008 instead? It's probably suitable.
