Recurring Disk Error

After installing Win 7, 32 bit, I am getting a periodic "disk failure" and inability to boot. It appears as though the boot record cannot be found? I have checked msconfig and boot config appears correct. I have checked the connections, replaced the HD, replaced the Optical drive and re-installed win7 64 bit with the same result? Also, I have run scf /scannow and chkdsk /r. Suggestions with how to resolve are appreciated, TKS,

What were the results of SFC and chkdsk?

No problems found with scan disk, chkdsk not yet complete (88%) will post if errors found,

Chkdsk completed, no errors, still getting periodic "disk error", seems as though the boot record "periodially" can't be found? Seems as though "periodically" boot looks to boot from the CD/DVD even thouhgh Bio is set to HDs only? Suggestions for resolution are appreciated, TKS,
