BSOD During Game Loading. Memory Dump Issue With Log.

So I've been experiencing some blue screens while playing a couple games. They are most notable in Dragon Age, a game which I have been told has memory leak issues but I know of others who simply experience long load times after several hours rather than crashes. It has also occurred while loading a level of Left 4 Dead 2.

In looking for ways to troubleshoot the issue I ran into a bunch of conflicting suggestions from updating video card drivers to buying new ram.

Attached is the crash log of the latest crash, I believe. If there's anything I can add, ask and I'll provide it.

Nvidia 9800 gtx

Hmmm, updated my drivers and found out I hadn't upgraded my NFORCE drivers in a while, but that turned out not to be the cause of this particular issue, as it did happen again.

I've got a BIOSTAR TPower N750 but I'm not quite sure which drivers to download...hmm.

How is this supposed to fix a cpu not processing interrupts?

Because the ataport.sys file may be corrupted

My bios is updated.

I ran the check mentioned above and found nothing.

Last time I crashed I noticed my CPU temp read about 69 C. Not sure how normal that is for an Athlon 64x2 6400. I saw that the "critical temp" is 70 but don't know why my cpu would be suddenly overheating with win7, if that were truly the case. Installed a core temp monitor.

I'm working on trying out some different memory sticks for my system and seeing if that will help at all.

You should try to reseat the heat sink on the cpu after you cleaned both decently with paper towel and q-tip, then applying a very thin layer of Arctic Silver or similar.
