Hello,

I have been getting BSOD very Infrequently over the past year of so ( During Cod Black Ops) , took the systems apart clean with compresed air - clean contacts - reseat cards it still happens.
The Memory Overnight diags show no error.

No Overclocking of any sort !

The systems was being used to run several VM's under VMWare Windows - with NO issues ever.
Had to get a new system to run the VM's because the Games BSOD-ing the system - was &*(^ with my Apps.

It started BSOD more often with Cod WWII - I can go 7 days - 2 hours ?
the PC is on 24 / 7 so if it was general overheating - It might be more often.
One day i shut it down - I started it up hours later , launch the game CRASH ( BSOD) within minutes!
( So I don't think its heat )

I have re-downloaded the 76Gb install
Gone to a Fresh Windows install -
First time No Soundcard ( only Onboard sound)( Soundblaster Audigy ) crashed same-ish error 0x124
Installed Sound card - still BSOD - imagine :).
Replaced Videocard from 660 -> 1070 no change - still crashes.

Activision support have not been terribly help full -
They have a script - You systems resources don't / Just meet the minimum - hence the new video.
They Keep coming back with "Your CPU is too slow" - with Resource Monitor up ALL the time - it is NOT maxed out during play, only at Initial start up and occasionally during load of a new Level.

After the base Windows re-install the game would NOT load - simply exit
Loaded windows patches / DX . NEt until it would launch and play.
no other software has been loaded - other than Firefox, Windows updates / Video / Sound / MB required drivers.

If its a driver issue - I can work towards fixing it.
If it is H/W then I'll bite the bullet and get New CPU/Ram/MB

But why ONLY during those two games - Yes they are Heavy duty - but what exactly are they doing to BSOD my Box !!!

Thanks for you help and listening,

Don
PS: I would have downloaded the installed the MS debug tools but they wont install - I'm missing something.

Well “ I didn't think it was over locked !!!”

I googled one of the error codes I got in the dump and it took me to a link about power related issues and BSOD...
Reboot go into bios to look at things and some voltages were in the Forbiden range, the OC Genie had my cpu running at 4000 !

Cool but a likely contributing factor !

Wait and see what happens...
