ati radeon mobility 4570 windows7

Hi,
just bought a vaio vgn-nw21sf (windows 7)with ati radeon mobility 4570.
everything looks nice on my laptop but when I plug it in my LG 226WTQ-sf then the problems begin.
when I duplicate screens the resolution at the LG can get up to something rubbish.
When I use only the LG or extend screens then the resolution is fine but it looks like it has some kind of noise or something.I can't really explain it but it's like lines going up and down the screen particularly noticed on monochrome situations.
I did the whole modder thing correctly I think but it didn't really help.
It's not the cable and it's not the LG cause I tried with another laptop(vista) and it was ok.
My first post.. Pls help!!

Use a dvi cable instead, if possible.

use an August 2008 ATI catalyst driver for vista like Catalyst 8.7

Old Version of ATI Catalyst Driver 8.7 Download - OldApps.com

you may need to remove and delete your current driver first

Very welcome. Am I to assume you've bought one and now it works well? That way is so much better too because it's all digital and much better signal.
