To be a bit more specific, anyone know of a good free 64 bit explorer replacement that's multi-threaded and stable?
There is none, was none and i assume will not be any.
All available today file managers lacks a little things in pursue perfection, and there is no one to dispute about: coder ALWAYS knows better. So, when you asking crucial question "64-bit?" you can be sure that in most cases you will get an stupid question as answer "what for?", and there is it. Even if you can provide an example on screencast, when copying a file manager in 32-bit mode on 64-bit OS slows down to zero and then hangs.. Even if you can show that Java code on 64-bit OS is working much faster and prove that 64-bit IS actually better, faster... But NO, coder always knows better, and try suggest something. Geez.
Total Commander always was my first choice, i used to this prog along time ago and used extensively on Univ, but for long now is abandoned by third party GOOD plugins writers, and of course, there is NONE for 64-bit wersion.. shame.
IMO, give some credit to Windows Explorer, maybe it is not what it was in the beginning, but tandem with Cyberduck works for me.
