inspiron slow!!!!!!!

I have a Dell Inspiron 1720, 4 gigs, with the dreaded "intel chipset" onboard graphics. My problem is using ANYTHING graphics intense OR internet graphics - i.e. - videos, facebook games etc. this thing will lag, stall, chop - you name it. I am very frustrated and ANY advice tips would make my day.

I also have the dreaded chipset on an inspiron with no problems. could we get some specifices about the installed driver and what kind of sites are choppy.

Have you tried running a video in safe mode (F8) to see if another process is interfering?

Here is the driver version i am using
8.15.10.1912
Tried safe mode with little or no improvment - actually a bit slower i think.

As far as graphics? you tube videos load fine - but some play choppy, facebook apps are terribly slow (cafe world, farm town)

It's running fine on a Inspiron 6400 (2GB Mem), and on a Inspiron 1545 (3GB Mem).
