I just got 7057 installed last night, and the same thing happened to mine. In 7000 my desktop graphics was 7.9 and now in 7057 I'm back down to 5.9. seems strange.

Hey ur a 98gx2 owner! im not alone. lol
i would say they are allowing more room for products in the future, so we will all have to suffer and live with lower scores until we buy a $2000 graphics card.

have you got any previous version WEI posts?

they removed the 5.9 4gb ram limitation and took it up to 6.9? i wonder if 7057 x32 will be 5.9 then?

b7000 x32 was 5.5 max for 4gb ram, x64 is 5.9 for 4gb ram
b7057 x64 6.9 max for 4gb x32 could be 5.9 max 4gb??

maybe this would mean 6gb ram would max 7057 x64 out??

Actually I have 4 GB of RAM on 7057 x64 and I have a score of 7.2.

Also, I don't know why but Windows shows the 200 MB partition it makes when installing Windows 7 in the file explorer.. it didn't do this before with build 7000.

It seems they changed some of the benchmark from 7000 to 7057.

Actually I have 4 GB of RAM on 7057 x64 and I have a score of 7.2.

Also, I don't know why but Windows shows the 200 MB partition it makes when installing Windows 7 in the file explorer.. it didn't do this before with build 7000.

It seems they changed some of the benchmark from 7000 to 7057.

your 7057 post is only the metrics, need the scores to make a valid comparison, look at your b7000 memory scores, there is a line there that states

- <MemoryScore>
<LimitApplied Friendly="Physical memory available to the OS is less than 4.0GB on 64-bit OS - limit mem score to 5.9" Relation="LT">4294967296</LimitApplied>
</MemoryScore>
there should be a part in the winsat files that have the same line on your 7057 copy.

if not then they have removed the 4gb limit on the WEI system, there fore we can find out our true 4gb ram scores instead of being limited to 5.9 when it can be infact higher. in your case 7.2

plz correct me if im confused here. lol

I posted my scores in the attached picture.

Yeah, I'm sure they removed that 4 GB limit for WEI. Anything above that must be just based on memory bandwidth. My RAM is rated at DDR2-800 and I have it at stock.

They changed the disk metric to test for IOs instead of latency.

im still not sure if i can be bothered updating to 7057, or if i do update ill just keep 7057 till the final is ready. i think it was suspected in September or something. otherwise 7000 does just as good a job. i don't think the differences between 7000 and 7057 is noticeable.

i just cant figure out why my ram bandwidth is only 8,500mb/s? i should be getting better than 10,000. 1800mhz (900mhz) with low timings.

can someone tell me is interleaved the same as duel channel mode? is it just a flash wording for it?

Just ran it on my new 7057 install.

Surprised my RAM got such a high score. It's 667MHz, but overclocked to 750MHz (FSB 1500MHz).

Don't know what's wrong with the graphics. I used to get 7.9 for Aero (with and without SLI enabled), but now it's dropped to 5.9  Maybe that's something on Nvidias part and a new driver for 7057 will fix it.

im still not sure if i can be bothered updating to 7057, or if i do update ill just keep 7057 till the final is ready. i think it was suspected in September or something. otherwise 7000 does just as good a job. i don't think the differences between 7000 and 7057 is noticeable.

From what I understand, interleaved memory isn't dual channel. Interleaved is when the CPU can access the RAM without having to wait for the RAM to catch up i.e cache. Interleaving on memory is mostly used to compensate for the slower RAM, so I don't understand why you would be using it with your RAM when your certainly isn't slow.

From what I understand, interleaved memory isn't dual channel. Interleaved is when the CPU can access the RAM without having to wait for the RAM to catch up i.e cache. Interleaving on memory is mostly used to compensate for the slower RAM, so I don't understand why you would be using it with your RAM when your certainly isn't slow.

crap, so how do i enable duel channel? they are in duel ch slots eg 0+2/1+3.

ill have a play and see if i can figure it out. this is not acceptable. lol

this is a screen shot from boot. u can see where it states the interleave and epp2.0 is enabled

nope no luck in the bios. ill do some quick searching on glooble and i might contact xfx support.
i should be surpassing 10,000mb/s really. not 8,500

ok cpu-z under mem tab shows that dual channel is enabled?

Well dual channel gets enabled automatically when you have the slots filled.

Where did you find out what your bandwidth is?
