We all know that Microsoft entered the race for internet a bit too late, and that fact made all these years a very hard time for them because of the competition, but at least they're trying

In my opinion, they would have to make Bing do something absolutly amazing for people to start using it over other search engines. For many years, people have had it ingrained in their mind that if they want to search for something, they go to Google, as such everyone is familiar with the layout and how it works.
For something new to enter the field now is a bit stupid.

They're new so it doesn't surprise me that they are a little behind. Their datacenters probably aren't as big either (I guess that will be the next headline).

But they are building new big datacenters.

If they could actually provide a search engine that performs the way that their promos allude to...providing a return that pinpoints what a person is searching for, rather than an unending list of items found by searching each individual word in a search, in which the majority have nothing to do with the query, then they might have a chance of converting Google users. Using quotes to contain the search phrase too often ends up with no returns at all.

The best feature of Google is their cached pages, in which the search words are highlighted to make it easy to locate them within an otherwise twisting mazes of words on some pages. I just wish that they would limit their searches to actual page content, and not include words on links on the page that have nothing to do with the page itself.

Another feature that I think would be good, but don't expect to see anytime soon, is the ability to use speech recognition to enter search words. The whole point of any search engine is to make life easier, not just cram links in front of us to promote favored suppliers.

EDIT: BTW, a slight improvement on Google is Scroogle.

I have been using Bing exclusively since June 2009 and I've found the search results much better than Google's.

probably meant to. when microsoft / bing registered the keyword phrase "free pictures" and did not expect mostly porn sites pop up in the search results. come on even a noob knows that you just do not put "free pictures" in a search engine search box.

Oh please!!....I've tried it and it brings back so much generic crap that it reminds me of the engines of the 80's. At least Google brings back the most relevant sites to the entire query. Bing will never come close to the Google results, unless they copy Google. Bing really should just close up shop and call it a day.
