Okay, I got 2 replacement routers from linksys. The routers are WRT310N V2. They both sorta reset themselves. The power light will start flashing and I will lose all other lights, and my connection. But once its back on, it still keeps all my settings on my router. I have tried re-flashing,and 30-30-30 reset. Its in a well ventilated area. To me it seems like its overheating, but im not sure. I think they are going to be sending me another router. What do you think?

Thanks

First i've heard of a router self resetting. There should be a log tab. See what the logs say, if anything.

this may or may not be of some help - i had the same problem with 3 different routers/gateways over a 2 year period they would just randomly restart/reboot & this wasn`t restricted to just the pc i would also get the problem more frequently when using the xbox360 & ps3 for online mulitiplayer games , my first thought was the router overheating or just the sheer amount of connections associated with online gaming or in a file sharing situation so i just lived with it - then recently due to a speed issue i was having i had bt come to the house & move the main phone point to the bedroom thus eliminating the need for an extention cable (which are almost always of a substandard quality) once this was done i not only got a whole 1.5 mbs extra speed the router re-booting/re-starting problem ceased completely now no matter how long im on a file share or on an online game i have no router re-boots on the pc or the xbox360 or ps3:D

From what I have read about that router it is problematic, the reviews show the same problems as your complaints.

Yes, i have the latest on everything. I called linksys and asked for a model exchange;). Whats a good linksys router to get? I need something with range, speed, and reliability. They recommended a 320n.

Thanks for the Help.

I can't say for sure because I haven't used them. You might try checking the reviews at Newegg. I use D-link DIR-655 myself which works well for me.
