changed my router mac address and after i cannot log on

every time i change my router( dlink di 634 m) mac address to match that of one of my virtual machines i have to reboot and after a while when i try to log into the internet i cannot what could be the problem. also my wireless router is giving off two signals. how do i stop this.

You cannot do that. Virtual machines are what they are, they emulate real machines. VM are software enabled. Your router isn't. And why did you feel the need to change mac addresses?

There's no need to change router's MAC-address. If you have connection problems with your virtual machine, router's MAC has nothing to do with it.

I don't see why you want to change the MAC address of your router. Plus, you don't want to set 2 devices to use the same MAC address on the same network.

What are you trying to accomplish.

Your ISP usually uses your MAC address to provide service to you, so when you change your address ...

Did this all start when you installed Win7? 32bit or 64 bit?
Did you get a new router? Was it updated with the latest firmware?
etc. and thing else you would liek to add to help us help you?
