But it does when you arent playing? what kind of mouse? USB, Blutooth?

I use USB mouse ...only during playing game and also in the game menu . .

Have you tried running the game with admin privileges? (Right-click > Run as Administrator)

I'm planning to upgrade from x86 to x64 by the time my dad buys the 4 GB RAM upgrade he promised for my lappy. This game is one of my favorites, due to its moddability, so I'm hoping it would also work on x64. In x86, I also encounter mouse problems from time to time. It occurs more frequently when I have programs in background, so I guess RAM has something to do with it.

Patch the game, update your drivers with the guide in my sig and then play. Games are now coming out for x64 but x86 should be fine.

I don't think patching the game would help for the case of GTA:SA. Version 1.1 in terms of Windows 7 compatibility is the same as 1.0. Also 1.1 has some issues regarding the use of mods, which I don't like as a modder. What's hell worse than 1.1 is 2.0, which is an almost unmoddable version of the game. Mod or change just one file of the game, and the anti-mod code of the game would keep the game from running, some crappy attempt to keep modders from putting back in the controversial Hot Coffee mod and the like if you ask me.

Offtopic: For the Installing Drivers in 7 guide, I just wanna add that Intel GPU users may not be able to update the INF / Chipset Software Installation Utility if a driver exists. The installer skips the installation if it detects it. Whenever it's uninstalled, Windows 7 installs a driver of its own in its place after restart.

Hi Sachin, try this: Once u get to the game start menu press Alt+Tab, then go back to the game and this should bring back ur mouse functionality if not, keep doing it till you get it.

Dude you dont need to patch anything just make sure the mouse is connected befor you boot the game.
But my problem is that san andreas isant compatible with x64 it says 16-bit applacation not compatible with 64 bit system? im realy hurting over this somone please help i love the game too much
