Help - Windows 7 Sapphire Radeon HD Hotfix WONT WORK =(

Hey, i apologise if this is in the wrong place, but im new.
Uhm, i installed Windows 7 Proffesional today..
And i have spent all day trying to get my..
Sapphire ATI Radeon HD 2400 Pro AGP (512mb) Graphics card
to work.
I have tried many upon many driver downloads, the 10.1 Hotfixes.
the full suites, everything i can find..
but everytime I restart the computer i get the ''No signal can be recieved'' after the boot screen..
then i have to go to safe-mode, completely wipe my drivers for ATI and try again, for probably 14 hours ive been trying with no success.


Does anyone have the same problem?
or even better does anyone have a solution as this is driving me crazy =(.

If there is no signal, the card may be defective - do you have a PCI x16 2.0 slot to try a different card? What PSU do you have - and what amps on the 12V rails(s)? A different AGP card?

Not here, they work fine, shame about the WHQL certification. Legacy hardware most likely cannot install these drivers anyway.

In addition to the above it would be real helpful to know what motherboard/chipset you have. If it is Nforce3 based you can pretty much forget about an AGP card working in Windows 7, due to no working AGP/GART driver (part of the chipset and required for an AGP card/drivers to work).

I Can't understand why they would allow it to work on XP then not on W7, they knew this issue would arise...I don't understand...

EDIT: ARGH!!! When installing i got the bit saying that it isnt certified or whatever...
Then i get this error...

"windows encountered a problem installing the driver software to your device"
"The system file cannot be specified"!....
Now what..?

Your old hardware doesnt have driver support, dont blame microsoft, blame the hardware manufacturer. And I'm not talking about the video card, its a motherboard issue.
