Previously I was overclocking the cpu to 4ghz, and everything was fine, but then I started doing some cable management, and this is when the problem really arose. I reset the bios completely to defaults, thinking the overclocking was the issue, but the problem continued. I tried changing the sata cable from the hard drive to the motherboard as well.
