I want to remove my user account picture (and the glass frame too), specifically from the log on screen. Is there any way I can do this?

Hi and welcome
Yes you can remove it and replace it with a default picture.
1. Control Panel
2. User Accounts
3. Select your Account
4. Select Change your Picture.
5. Select your picture or find one on your hard drive and save.

That's it.

Let us know if you have any problems.

I don't want to change my picture. I want to remove it completely. Frame and all. I don't like having user account pictures, hence my reason to not have one.

i think i know how,
but it haven't been tested yet.
first you set your users pic to a blank 1,
s you will see only the frame.
after that you use a res hacker to edit explorer.exe.
in the explorer.exe you go to bitmaps and then navigate to those files and replace them with blank images as well,
7013, 7014, 7015, and 7016
the 7013 is the task bar 1 (not proven only by scale)

so just replace your acc pic to blank pic
and the 7013-7016 bitmaps to blank images

you can also wait for me to upload the edited 1 a made.
im uploading it right now

here is my edited explorer.exe,

note, i use win 7 ultimate 32bit,
so if you use other o/p pls make a restore pont first.
and not responsible for nothing that might happen to your win/comp

The only way i know how to move the user picture from the start menu is to apply a stylehack in WSB and save an custom msstyles with it in it

well
i found a little problem,
no matters what image i use for the user image, it wont show blank,
it will show white or black
