Hello, my name is Conan. I have installed Windows 7(Ultimate, 64-bits) in 2009, my previous os was Windows XP(32-bit). Although I am really happy with W7 there's something which is a big turn-off. The sound, that is, it hasn't worked on W7 ever since I installed it. It's not the devices that are the problem, they all work perfectly fine when connected to my iPod. As a matter of fact, It's quite obvious what the problem is, windows doesn't detect any connected audio devices. Here are some screenshots:

I have already downloaded the latest Realtek driver, but this also didn't detect any audio devices

Well,

Yes, Win 7 has detected an audio device. What it's not detecting is that you have speakers plugged in.

Do you have a set of speakers you can plug into the back (green) speaker jack?

Or maybe a set of headphones into the front (green) headphone jack?

If it didn't detect any devices you wouldn't see those options.

Right now you're set to output audio to "Digital Out", it's set as the default output device, plug speakers in, select "Speakers" then click on "Set Default".

Do you have speakers plugged into the green output jack on the back of your computer? (it's a 1/8" - 3.5mm plug)

make sure you have the correct drivers for your soundcard - see bottom of the page:
Genius Europe GmbH

also, check that you have disabled the on-board sound in the BIOS

Could you fill in your system specs, please - this will assist in finding a solution..
- need to know the make and model No. of your motherboard, etc..

- type "system information" in the search box above the windows button and click on the entry when it appears in the list above the box, this will tell you all..

otherwise PC Wizard will give you the full information, available for download here:
http://www.cpuid.com/pcwizard.php

cheers..

BTW: DISable your on-board sound in the BIOS - this will then allow the installed card to take over....

so let's see..
- you've inserted the card into the PCI slot and disabled the onboard sound in BIOS..
-have you connected the speakers, etc to the soundcard - and NOT to the onboard socket?

ie. are you connected to the green socket on the card itself..?

1. firstly, re-enable your on-board sound via the BIOS settings..

2. on that page you linked regarding your motherboard, there is an entry headed "Support&Download" in the list at the left.. click on that and it will bring another page..

3. in the Support&Download page, click on the listed entry headed "Technology Guide"

4. in the next page, scroll down to the heading "Peripherals" and look for the following entry, and click "more"..
rtekaudio.jpg

5. this will download a .pdf file that explains how to obtain control of your onboard RealTek sound (- save it, so that you can go through it in detail..)

6. Read this document carefully to see if there is a way to enable your sound..

- I have a sound-card installed on my current rig, so I haven't taken the time to read it through, but..
- it would pay you to be fully conversant with the RealTek control panel, as this should contain the necessary settings..

- good luck..!!
