I upgraded my Windows XP-pro 64 Bit to Windows 7 pro 64 Bit with the help of LapLink PC Mover Windows 7 upgrade edition.
Before the upgrade, I changed my motherboard to an ASUS M4A78L-M because my old motherboard isn't supported by Windows 7.
My videos cards were not supported either, so I bought a Diamond HD2400Pro SB Edition PCI and an ASUS EN8400GS Silent PCIe.
My CPU is an Athlon 64 X2 2700Mhz and my ram is 2x2GB Kingston 800.
When I try to play video files in Media Player Classic Home Cinema edition or in the ATI Catalyst Video Preview, I get a Blue Screen of Death "SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION" in atikmdag.sys.
I downloaded the latest drivers from ati.amd.com (version 10.2 ) with no success.
I ran Memtest 86+ all night with no error.
I also ran sfc /scannow with no integrity violations
I have attached all of the minidumps generated by the crash. There are a few because I tried a few things such as upgrading MPC, installing the CCCP. Etc...
I have googled to find a solution, but everyone talks about RANDOM atikmdag.sys BSOD. Mine are not random at ALL. If I don't try to play any video, my system is 100% stable.
BTW when I play video files in VLC Media Player, it works for some odd reason.
I can supply more information as needed.
