Easiest way to move files from one directory to another

Howdy,

I am looking for the easiest way to have files automatically moved from one directory to another as soon as they are "deposited" in the first directory.

I know that there are a gazillion freeware utilities that do this but I was wondering if:

• There was a windows 7 feature that did this already OR
• A simple way to do it with the tools that are provided in Windows 7.

Back in the day I would have written a batch file. But that would not have monitored the directory in real-time.

Any ideas without using a 3rd-party app?

Why not just make the first directory a junction point to the second? Then any files put in the first directory are actually put in the second directory, but will appear as in the first directory.

Command Prompt:

mklink /J C:\first\dir C:\second\dir

Could also probably use Libraries.

Why not save them to the desired directory in the first place?

I use that as well, and it came as a default option in 7 Ultimate. All you have to do is enable the menu bar in explorer, and you don't need to hack the registry.

Thanks for the tip but not all have Ultimate and when I reply to a post I try to "speak" to everyone that may read the post at a later time; including people that don't know that the blue text is a link and it can be clicked on.
