Aero Peek tabs with Firefox, Chrome, etc?

Yeah, you're missing something.

Firefox will only show a single taskbar preview window for if you just have one, or multiple tabs you have with FF. IE will show separate taskbar preview windows for every tab you have with IE.
That's what the OP is referring to.

I was trying out Safari 4 and realized that the aero peek tabs function works perfectly, plus the browser is awesome. Definitely give it a try.

Thanks but I am a Chrome lover. Only a matter of time before a dev build has aero peak functionality built-in.

They did it in 3.6 . If you want to turn it on, type about:config in your address bar. Click on I'll be careful button. Go here -



And click on that to set it to "True"

Still might be a bit buggy at this stage though.

firefox 3.6 does it, but it needs to be turned on go to about:config and search for "preview" and turn on browser.taskbar.previews.enable

I have it turned on, and have for some time. I think the only problem with it is sometimes the preview will just show as a white screen with a loading circle in the middle on some pages. Although, that may happen with any browser, I don't know.

Yeah, that's usually the bug I see with it. Never happens with previews in IE8, but they've had in built in to IE8 since the beginning.

Opera 10.5x also has full Aero support, looks very nice. There even are skins that make it fully transparent.

The new upcoming Firefox should have this aswell. I saw it in some article.

Google Chrome's latest dev build 5.0.366.2 has Aero Peek.

Firefox 3.6.3 has aero peek tabs turned on by default works perfectly.
