980x coming in a couple days..
I'm quite sure I can push my 5970 quite high and get 7.9 gaming/graphics, not sure if I can get 980x to 7.9 on water though. I've seen some 7.9 cpu scores they were all 5ghz+ on ln2

well 7.9 is the max, i got a 7.8!
but you could OC that 920 to 4GHz and have a min score of 7.7 if you wanted. CPU will hit 7.9 on a 5Ghz

Everything is so stable now, its all air cooled. CPU operating temp is at 45C.
QPI is at 7.4MHz. I do not want to over do it. Plus pushing it more does something to the ram settings. I need to figure out how to lock the ram settings so they do not change with cpu OC. I have not even over volted the cpu. Current settings have never crashed!

@spyknee: You need very capable ram to oc your cpu past a certain point (and vice versa).

To those in the thread that say the wei isn't useful (it's not imo, if you have 7.0's or close your w7 experience is going to be awesome) come and play in pcmark vantage, very good true representation of multipurpose computing (benchmark makes your computer perform real tasks people actually do).

Sometimes 2 drives in r0 doesn't do much for wei, it should get you at least 7.7 or so, I think I'm going to grab a x25-v as well and use it solely for keeping my backup w7 image.

Even with overclocking ram up to 1800 and cpu to 4.20ghz I cant seem to get the cpu/mem score past 7.4/7.5 Any idea's Also What does it take to get a 7.9 in storage I have a single Intel X25M-g2 Would 2 in raid 0 do it?

Ram over 1600 mhz is usually 7.9, I guess maybe the problem is amount, how much do you have? I've never seen 4gb+ of 1600mhz+ NOT get 7.9, so that's kind of weird if you do have 4 gigs or more. I don't know if 2 intels in r0 would get you 7.9 but probably close, though sometimes oddly it doesn't do much. And for cpu even 4.5ghz or more 920 only gets 7.7ish. My suggestion to you? Use your computer. It's awesome. I drive myself crazy tweaking trying to get the most out of my components, then I get bummed if I don't get the number I want from the benchmark, then I go open some big program like photoshop or some other and it opens instantly and I remember "oh yeah my computer is pretty badass afterall".

Update the firmware on your SSD, Intel Rapid Storage Technology driver, and make sure AHCI is set in BIOS. Also what is your ICH or PCH?

I got a 7.6 with my X25-V G2 on ICH9M-E/M with 9.6.0.1014 RST drivers and 2CV102HB firmware (mines a version behind which doesn't support TRIM I believe) so your X25-M G2 should get better scores.

I've always found this argument silly, how many times in a day could you possibly be rebooting? You want your computer to be the fastest when you're using it, a slight delay when booting is nothing. The majority of the time spent with the computer is the part that needs speeding up, boot-up is a tiny fraction of overall time spent on/with the pc. A few seconds more or less seems unimportant, this is obviously all just my opinion.
