hy
i cant install any drivers for my 8800 gt card
when i first put windows 7 it showed about 8 excamation mark in my device manager
it says like this:
This device cannot find enough free resources that it can use. (Code 12)

If you want to use this device, you will need to disable one of the other devices on this system.

now i got it to show only one
but, whenever i tried to install driver for my card its says i dont have that hardware..

any solutions?
thx

Edit: apparently i dont have any graphic driver installed, i dont know how can i see someting on my monitor :D

Use Driver Sweeper to remove the native driver that Windows installed from Safe Mode...not the VGA driver, then install the driver downloaded directly from Nvidia.

Are you using that computer to acess the forum now? In other words, is your monitor getting a signal? If so, it should show the display adapter, regardless of what driver is installed. Since you apparently can see the Device Manager, I shall assume that it is on this computer, and not having any display adapter shown in the DM manager is very unusual. I would start by reseating the video card and rechecking it connections...power and video cable.

ok, i think that maybe this is the problem
i couldnt install windows 7 at the begining cause i had some problems, so i figured out my problem in installing
i needed to disable APIC mode in bios, cause if its enabled i couldnt go past the starting windows screen
and now when i installed windows 7, i tried to enable APIC mode, but again i stuck at starting windows screen.
as i googled a lot of ppl said that disabling APIC mode affected their pci-e
so any suggestion now ?

edit: i found out that VgaSave conflicts with my pci-e, but i cant do anything cause if you disable it, you wont be able to go to windows no more (it messes up your booting of windows)

No. bad move. don't.

not that driver sweeper can remove it anyway (it can't access filerepository)

APIC cannot be modified without a reinstall, it changes the HAL type.

You are saying something that I haven't heard before...about filerepository. I Googled it, but the returns that I got were a mixed bag, that I'm not in the mood to sift through. Perhaps you could provide a link?

Also, since the second quote is not mine, you should have included to poster's name to it.

c:windows\System32\DriverStore\FileRepository

Every driver windows has ever installed, (without uninstalling properly) is stored there. Its linked to the driver rollback function. needless to say its a pain in the ass when uninstalling drivers if you happen to overinstall often as it'll just install the last dated driver stored in file repository.

at default, only trustedinstaller/system has permissions over that and the folders contained within.

the owner is trustedinstaller making it difficult to remove drivers from without screwing up the folder permissions and making it insecure.
