Firefox 3.6 on windows 7 ?

I have Firefox 3.6 on windows 7 it cuts off things on sites but not in ie explorer is their a fix?

It is a fact of life that IE rules web sites. There are some differences between the way IE loads web sites and the way other open-source browsers, like FireFox, loads web pages. Many web sites still insist on only caring about their IE visitors. There was an Add-on called IE Tab that would bridge the gap and allow FireFox to display web sites like IE. It was not compatible with FireFox 3.6 and has been dropped. However, someone else has taken up the development and an Add-on for FireFox 3.6 is now available as "IE Tab 2". If you like, you can add it to your FireFox and switch to IE mode when web sites don't load properly.

Coral IE Tab is IE Tab's replacement and it works very well. If you find a page that does not render correctly in FF open that page in FF using Coral IE tab. I do this when viewing Microsoft sites.

As Iseeuu posted above, some sites are not going to display properly in FF. These sites are written only for IE. Using Coral IE Tab or IE Tab 2 extensions will solve this problem.

If the site you are trying to visit is not coded properly for FF, no that fix will not work. If some of your settings in FF are causing the problem, yes it may work. If the site is not properly coded, the only fix is Coral IE Tab or IE Tab2.

I have not used IE Tab2; but I do use Coral IE Tab frequently. What these extensions do is to switch the rendering engine. The rendering engine is what displays the web page. Coral IE Tab causes FF to use the IE rendering engine to display the page. Thus the page display properly. Some websites are designed for the IE rendering engine and do not make allowances for any other rendering engine.

I would suggest you try this before resetting your FF settings to default.

OK, then try the reset method. If most or all sites are not displaying properly, there is a problem in your Firefox settings.

OK, that is what I am running.

If most sites or even half of the sites you visit are not displaying properly, I think you have some settings messed up. Did you try zooming by any chance? It sounds like maybe the zoom is on.

What addons (extensions) are you using?
