Remote Desktop Software

I would like to run my desktop PC remotely from my laptop. The desktop runs Win 7 Home Premium so does not support the Win 7 Remote Desktop feature. Can someone recommend a 3rd party software package? My laptop runs Win 7 Pro.

If you plan on doing this in your home I would recommend VNC, RealVNC - VNC Free Edition 4.1

The only issue that i see with teamviewer is that even if the host and client are on the same network, it tunnels everything out to the internet and then back in. So you can end up with much lower performance than something like VNC or RDP.

Since I plan to use remote desktop only on my home network, it sounds like VNC is the best choice. Also, exposing all of my keyboard and screen traffic to the external world makes me a bit uncomfortable.
