Only for those sites that decide to convert to using HTML5 - anyone still using Flash (and I guarantee that there will be more than a couple) will leave x64 users out in the cold.
YouTube has made the switch (kind of), so if you only used Flash for YouTube in the past, you can just get a x64 HTML5 supported browser and then switch to the HTML5 mode in YouTube. If you play Flash games, then stick with a x86 browser.

I mean if you have a full toolbar of bookmarks and resize the window to make it narrower, you get 2 rows of bookmarks. It wraps instead of sticking '>>' on the right hand side.

afaik Opera is the only browser that does this smoothly with no side-effects.

This would be why I pick Firefox over all other browsers - b/c, to steal a cliche, there's an addon for that.

Plus, With Opera I have no 'manager' mode that I can start so I can pick profiles to use, nor can I move 100% of my profiles to a different location, meaning easier transitions - if I reinstall my OS / install a new OS, I simply install Fx, point it to my existing profiles on another disk, and POW! I am right where I was before, no installing of 50 plus addons, adding scripts, customizing userchrome, settng CSS settings, etc.

It's all just there.

Firefox 4.0 pre-Alpha Developer Preview – Get a taste.

Mozilla has started building the next major iteration of its open source browser, and an early preview version of Firefox 4.0 is already available for download and testing. Earlier this week, Softpedia readers were able to find out that Mozilla was cooking a Developer Preview of Firefox 4.0 ahead of the first Beta build, which is planned for delivery next month, June 2010. A pre-Alpha version of Firefox 4.0 can be downloaded from the browser maker’s FTP servers, allowing early adopters to get a taste of what the successor of Firefox 3.6 will bring to the table.

The release offered by Mozilla is not the fully fledged Alpha / Developer Preview of Firefox 4.0. Instead, the bits are only a nightly Build, indicating that there is still work to be done until the browser hits the Alpha milestone. In fact, testers will be able to see that the download is labeled Firefox 3.7 Alpha 5. Obviously, this is not the fifth Alpha of Firefox 3.7.

Make Firefox Faster

1. Type "about:config" into the address bar and hit return. Scrolldown and look for the following entries:
network.http.pipeliningnetwork.http.proxy.pipeliningnetwork.http.pipelining.maxrequests
Normally the browser will make one request to a web page at a time. When you enable pipelining it will make several at once, which reallyspeeds up page loading.
2. Alter the entries as follows:
Set "network.http.pipelining" to "true"
Set "network.http.proxy.pipelining" to "true"
Set "network.http.pipelining.maxrequests" to any number around 5-12. Thismeans it will make X requests at once, depending on the number you put in.
NOTE: A recommended number is either 8 or 12.
3. Lastly right-click anywhere and select New > Integer.Name it "nglayout.initialpaint.delay" and set its value to "0".This value is the amount of time the browser waits before it acts on information it recieves.
If you're using a broadband connection you'll load pages 2-3 times faster now.
IMPORTANT: Some small sites may block your connection because it DOES take up more bandwidth than usual. Take note.

I tried this and it worked for me, ff loaded quicker, worst that can happen is go back to original settings, as long as you copied them, or a freshh ff re-install.... I hope others can gain from this, I'm no techhie, but i sussed it... Lemme know if anyone gains from it pls...

Firefox addons such as 'Fasterfox' or 'Tweak Network' can be installed in order to automatically configure/tweak the browser and then speed up browsing in just a few clicks without configuring it yourself manually like the one you posted, which is risky.

For those of us using pre- it shouldn't be too much of a shock with 4.0. By then, we'll probably be using pre 5.x. We're just living on the edge - lol.
