So about a month ago I installed the beta service pack that came out for windows 7, just so I could have the latest and greatest from Redmond. Then yesterday I got my hands on a newer build of the service pack and went to install it, however the installer prompted me to uninstall the previous version and retry. No big deal.

So I went into control panel and clicked "view installed updates" and highlighted "Service Pack for Windows KB976932", however a button for uninstall did not appear above. I tried right clicking, still to no avail.

My question is how can I remove this service pack if it doesn't allow me to inside control panel, there has to be and uninstall .exe somewhere buried in windows.

Under Control Panel, Programs, Programs and Features there is a View Installed Updates link. When I clicked on it and highlighted SP1 for Windows 7 x64 the uninstall button popped up and I uninstalled it no problems.

Well I don't know what to tell you, that option is not available to me at x86

Is there any other way to uninstall it?

You installed a "beta" update.

You have to reinstall Windows 7 from the ground up. Or stay like you are for all eternity.

Sorry but no matter what thats your future.

Why not? At the very least, Windows Update would have created some.

The problem is it's not final version of service pack and you cannot apply repair install what you meant.

If both methods failed too I see only two solutions (except reinstall OS of course :p).Both solutions are stupid :p

1.Sleepstream installation disk with SP1 and by using the new disk make repair install
2.Diagnose your damages by using Readiness Tool, fix damaages reported by tool and then to attempt again uninstall SP1...
