wow. awesome setup there mate, looks a dream.

I just built a new i5 system on Tuesday for a mate, I'll post pics when I can take some...
In the meantime however, the specs are:
Intel Core i5 750,
Gigabyte GA-P55-USB3,
Kingston DDR3 2000, 2x 2GB sticks
XFX Radeon HD 5850,
Western Digital 500GB Green Power with 32MB Cache,
LiteOn IHAS324 24x DVD/CD read/writer
Coolermaster GX-750, 750watt PSU (pronounced DOA shortly after the build... it's being returned at the moment, and he's currently running a CM 650 Extreme Power Plus from his old system.)
CM Storm 'Sniper Black Edition' case
ASUS 22" LCD Monitor
Razor Lachesis mouse
and Windows Vista Ultimate 64bit (he got that for $80Au throught the Microsoft program that gives a discount to uni and highschool students)... I'm still trying to convince him to get Windows 7...

And that's the good news.

The bad news is my 650w psu decided to s##t itself. Upon this happening, bricks were passed, pain was experienced, and Umart was sent two power supplies that need a fixin'. I wish the waiting over the next 14 days will not be painfull, but considering the computer I'm now stuck with... it will more than likely be excruciating. -.-

That's a very efficient system you are building, cost versus performance. Would be great to see your final set up and overclock if any.
I feel for you on the PSU. PSU problems are a nightmare (at least for me) to diagnose and frequently result in builders taking the wrong path before realizing that it is the PSU causing the problems. It's happened so many times to me, that I now go for overkill on the PSU.
Best of luck.

That's a really nice build, too bad about the PSU, always gotta be something.
14 days to wait for the replacement, that's painful.

Congrats to you and your mate.

Mind if I ask a few questions about the water cooling setup?

For your reservoir (bay mounted), do you use the FillPort at the top, or is that just mostly unneeded?
What pump do you have, and how well does it work? I picked out one I would want, but for almost $100, I feel like I should ask for advice first.

Here are pictures of my newly painted HAF 932: http://www.sevenforums.com/overclocking-case-mods/87419-project-cm-haf-932-paint-job-wiring.html
I now also have a Key Switch for the power button (security ftw), which I can post pictures of tomorrow.

~Lordbob

You are pretty observant, I fill using the port built into the reservoir that you can see on the face of the computer. I left enough slack in the tubing so that the reservoir can slide out enough for me to easily fill the system. The fill port at the top is designed to actually help me drain the system without having to disconnect any of the internal connections.

The pump is a DD/Laing DDC 3.25-12V 18 Watt [$90]. I got most of my parts from Danger Den except the Heat Killer 3.0. The pump is worth the price because flow rate and reliability are, as you know, key to a water cooling system.

By the way, you have a very nice paint job and clearly did it the right way. Very neat wiring too.

Best of luck in your build.
Thanks for that. I am still lost on what pump I should get. I really want to do water cooling, but I am having to wait till I can get a job for some money. Just graduated HS (Graduation is tonight), and need to work this summer before college.

I think I will just use that DD single drive res, and mount it below the switch plate I am working on. I was thinking of mounting the pump at the base of the HDD cage, since I only use 2 or 3 HDDs. Though your spot would be my 2nd choice.

After looking at some of these setups I decided to get some parts out of storage that i had got when i upgraded a few machines for people, all of it cost me nothing so was pleased when i fired the machine up and it actually worked.:D

Specs are Gigabyte GA-M575L1-S4 Motherboard
CPU AMD X64 4800+ at 2.5 GHZ with a Akasa Nero CPU Cooler.
2 Gig of Ram
Two 160 Gig Hard Drives
Dvd Dual Layer 16x
SD Card Reader
Nvidia Geforce 8500GT 512 Video Card, I have an 8600GT with 1 gig of ram somewhere but can't find it yet.
Thermaltake V9 Case.

All of this cost me nothing apart from I had to buy some cable ties, Oh well. :(

The next thing now that I know everything works is to strip it down including all the plastic parts from the case and get the metal chasis powder coated by a friend of mine who does it for a living, as i don't like the silver look on the inside of the case.

Once finished and when funds allow i will think about doing a few upgrades to bring it more upto date.
