[SOLVED]Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas won't launch.

Hello everyone,
I have run into a very irritating problem this evening... I have the game 'Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas', and I play it quite frequently on my computer. However, I was doing some research on increasing system performance in Windows 7, and this one individual suggested that I try Gamebooster to speed my game play up a bit. It looks legitimate, and I have read many places that it is a trusted tool. I opened the program and attempting running the "Game defrag" on GTA. My game has not run since then. I have uninstalled Game Booster, restored my registry, and done everything in my knowledge of how this particular game works, attempting to fix the problem. I also have reinstalled the game 4-5 times, all in different directories, hoping it would change something. Nothing seems to be solving my problem. I have look high and far for a solution, unfortunately I've had zero luck. So here I am, in Seven Forums, hoping that one of you may have a suggestion considering every issue I've thrown at this lovely forum has been solved within an hour.

When I attempt to launch the game, my cursor turns into the disc icon as if it is attempting to load the game, but nothing happens. When I monitor the processes in my task manager and attempt to start the game, it seems as if it tries starting two processes, which is odd. If I hurry and close one of these processes (hoping that the other was simply getting interference from the extra process), my cursor STAYS a disc until I restart my computer. (Which is extremely annoying.)

As experienced with GTA games as I am, I'm stumped. Time to ask the pro's

Also, I've asked this same question elsewhere, and most of the replies were simply people accusing me of using a pirated version of the game, this is not so. And proof:

Thank you in advance,
FLaTLiN3D

Edit: I'm not entirely sure if I'm allowed to discuss this here, but I've tried 'No CD' cracks that have worked for me in the past, so it's not the disc causing the problem.

Perhaps try removing the save game locations / settings in your users directory etc

Whatever else GB broke, may be getting picked up on subsequent re-installations.

I have tried deleting all of the user files. Including custom music to use in game. The problem consists.

Have you tried a system restore prior to installing the Gamebooster?

No sir, I didn't have any restore points set up.

Edit: I'm noticing a few other minor differences with my system, I'm going to run a virus scan and post the results here. Probably should have done this FIRST.
2 Minutes into the scan and I have 2 warnings already. My last full scan was like 4 days ago. Bah.

Yeah it usually a good idea to have a restore point created when installing something. Especially if it's an unknown program. A virus scan is a good idea too.

I completed the virus scan with only one detection. However I believe it was completely unrelated. The problem still persists. Unfortunately. If you need more information, simply ask, I'll help you help me. :p

I've used Windows 7 Manager's "Smart Uninstaller" That checks the registries and everything after you uninstall things. I've deleted everything that it found to do with the game and the user data. I don't know what the problem is... I was literally playing this game 5 hours ago, I simply cannot fathom why this is happening. It will sincerely piss me off if it's something obvious too. :sarc: Perhaps I'm over analyzing the situation?

Problem solved, finally. I uninstalled, defragged my system, then proceeded to reinstalling and it works the way it's meant to now.

Thank you metalmania31 and smarteyeball for helping,
