Yeah, I've been hearing that there's been earthquakes in this past half hour, but I haven't felt any....all my friends on Facebook felt them -_-.

I felt the big one pretty good...but I'm on the third floor, so that probably explains it. Sure seems like there have been a lot around here lately though.

I felt it too.

Standing in the doorway to the kitchen talking to my wife and I got dizzy for a second. Said out loud "Damn!" She's like, "Damn what?" I'm like, "Am I trippin' or is the house moving?" She said, "Ssshhh! Don't say it out loud!" (My 7 y.o. is scared to death of earthquakes) So I quieted down, looked at my rocking chair and the blinds swaying back and forth. The dizzy feeling really got me though.

Yeah, I got that too. Even after it was over, I still felt like it was going on for a few seconds. Funny thing is, my kids mom was on her floor freaking out, and my kids were loving it.

When I was a kid, I loved the whole shaking thing too. Oh, but my daughter... The instant she feels shaking she's clamped on my arm for dear life! Pretty much gotta make room in my bed for her because she won't go to sleep if she's not with my wife and I.

You guys are getting them a lot lately. Don't know if that is good (relieving stress), or bad. I've lived in Bay Area all my life, always like to sit real still in a quake, to feel the whole ride. The 1989 quake was the first and only one that made me think "run away!". I live in an apartment building, and if someone runs along the outside walkways, the building can "jump" a bit. After the big quake, that made me tense up for a month or so. 1st quake I ever thought might not stop, and might be the big one. We all know it's inevitable up here. If it happens, you guys will know down there too. A Guy

I had spent 13 years here and never felt an earthquake. Since I moved back from Washington in December, that's the 4th decent one I've felt. The fault lines are getting angry...

I can remember a 'few' of them when I lived in SoCal.

Luckily, no big shakers. Couple of them gave a pretty good rattle though :shock:

20 years ago there was a long searies of quakes in San Diego that were all off shore but closer than the ones now. Some up to 6.2. Caused things to fall off shelves and at work created somewhat of a mess as I worked at a ceramics shop at the time. Lasted about a year.

These are not as bad for S.D as they are all out in the desert but I sure wouldn't want to live near Ocotillo or El Centro. But these aftershocks could go on a LONG time since the root cause was a 7.2.

And yeah, who knows if this is releaving a lot of long built up pressure in a rather slow and gentle way or if it's just going to put a huge amount of pressure now on a fault 100 miles north that'll trigger another 7+!
