hey mikinho,
just picking your brain, but some of my movies are split into 2 parts (part 1 and part 2 obviosuly lol). my question is this, after yammm has had its way and created a playlist for the 2 to join them together, when loaded up in WMC it still displays the auto playlist, part 1 and part 2 as 3 different movies(with 3 album arts) which obviously is not the desired result, any thoughts on this?

thanks for this great program!

Accordingly to the below ways for dealing with movies stored on a server, then I went for option 1! And it seems to worked fine, just have to be carefull on the folder names, if to long and complex it give me issues!

GEtting a easy way to get YAMMM to work over shares/homegruop is a high priority for this program I guess, but option ! seems to work very good!

I just wounder why all movie meta data is not just stored in one XML file in each movie folder! This also means if one should move a copy to a computer whitout YAMM on it, then you still get the info in MCE????

What do I need to setup on the Windows 7 machine (or share from the xp machine) for the movie library to find the metadata?

You can choose to go a couple different routes:

1- Install on the W7 HTPC. With this you'll need to:

- Setup remote credentials on the Library tab
- Add the remote share to the movie folder list
- Under the metadata tab check Windows Media Center and the corresponding user accounts.

2- Keep it on the XP machines. With this you'll need to:

On W7 HTPC

- Share the %AppData%\Microsoft\eHome\DvdInfoCache folder and make sure to grant read\write rights to both the share and folder to whatever user account you want to use.

On the XP PC

- Under the Library tab setup remote credentials. For the username use the DOMAIN\username format. In this case the DOMAIN will be the computer name of the W7 HTPC.
- Under the Metadata tab, add the DvdInfoCache share you created as an additional folder.

v2 of Yammm will make this much easier.

Yep =/ It is hosted on a virtual machine that got corrupted. The hosting company is busy repairing and\or attempting to restore from backup. The hosting is very graciously donated from a Yammm user so any effort on their part is very much appreciated.

Library settings window

Hi all, has anyone had this issue? Yammm is not adding any info, i can see it is running but images, and the xml file are not coming in. I have removed and rebooted then reinstalled and still nothing, so i removed and searched and removed the yammm info found in the program folder, then reinstalled and still nothing? I have noticed the when i add a directory the library settings section is all greyed out. So i'm unable to select check periodically or check all folders. has anyone else had an issue like this? Thanks

Cool Win7 WMC Add-on for those who watch TV...

First off, I'm not trying to hijack this thread... I love what YAMM has done for my video archives. I will also post this in a seperate thread. I just figured many who subscribe to this thread will find this a nice addition, if they also watch TV thru Win7 MC.

I just discovered and love this app... Its called My Channel Logos. Home

It adds nice logos to your Guide in Win7 MC. It will automatically search for the proper logos, and the ones it cant find you can add in.

I love the ease of identification of channels now...

+1. Great app. Just be aware that it does slow down your guide so if you are on older systems keep that in mind. I'd try it out regardless, makes a huge difference in the guide WAF.

And sorry for being quite over here, Yammm v2 is at a stand still right now working out some an official EULA and other BS. (It is free but distributing it under a company now).

I have several other new add-ins I'll be releasing in the next 2-3 weeks.

Hi Mikinho, when I uninstall yammm, is there any registry settings i should remove that could be causing my issue?

Ok so is yammm, not working or no fixes until version 2?
I have installed yammm on 3 different computers (all are windows 7 64 bit) and it's not working on all three, I'm unable to select anything in library settings, every option is grayed out.

Someone else must have this issue, am I the only one?
