Weird BSOD

I got this BSOD when I transfered some data between two external usb harddrives while a heard some music in media player,, When the BSOD pops up it seems like the soundsystem is going crazy,,, I wonder if soundsystem is the problem.

The Dump is pointing to a Critical System Driver which might not be the problem. Lets start with basics

Run a Hardware Diagnostics Hardware Diagnostic !! « Captain Debugger

Start | CMD | Right Click and Run as administrator | SFC /SCANNOW

Also there is a EXCEPTION_CODE: (NTSTATUS) 0xc0000005 that usually refers to Antiviurs / Firewall i would recommend to uninstall it and run a Cleanup Tool to make sure all entries.

Update the following Drivers

It seems like I can't update 000.fcl, asIO.sys is this an audio driver?
By the way, I have tried to scan one of the external drives from the accident, but it failed the first WD test. That was the WD one. I'm able to run test on this WD from datalifegaurd, but it fails the first test. Is this because it's a usb drive?

What I meant is that I've tested a western digital external USB harddrive with Datalifeguard and the first test failed... It said: Cable select: write error. That means that I'm not able to proceed with the second test.

Drivers: Well, I've updated the powerdvd 8 software.. I assume that the driver gets updated too by doing this? I've uninstalled pcprobe some time ago so I don't understand why this AsIO.sys hasn't been removed too.

I don't know much about hardware, so I could only tell you to contact manufacturer and have them look at that, I don't think we can solve the piece of hardware for you in the forum though.

If remove the pcprobe doesn't remove the driver, you can change the name of the driver to .bak instead
Going to C:Window-->System 32-->drivers to do that

Can you describe the problem in more detail? What's going on? New BSODs or what?

No,, Haven't had one yet, but if the driver(000.fcl) for powerdvd 8 can't be updated should I remove the program then?

It's okay, PowerDVD is not known for causing BSODs. You can leave it installed.
