Something strange happened to my computer and my mom's computer yesterday.
I always travel with two computers and two phones, because I have a strange kind of luck, I'm the most cautious and careful guy with my things, and I have enough knowledge to take good care of my things, specifically my devices, some people see me as a bit exaggerated because of the excess of redundancy... but here an example of why i am like that.
I have two phones, and two laptops; a chromebook (simple, rustic, works when everything fails) and an HP Elitebook,( business series laptop that it is more resistant than personal laptops). I have an elitebook similar to mine for my mom, a slightly older model, mine is 2570p, hers is 2560p, I know they are old laptops, but they work perfectly, well until now.
I'm on a trip (from Brazil) visiting my mother to help her with some things, including moving to A NEW CITY, already in the new apartment, I left my computer on hers, and when I came back at night my computer won't turn on, the battery light is blinking white, and when I try to turn hers on, nothing happens, I connect the charger to hers and it turns on, I'm not sure, the hard drive and the charging and the power button LED were both useless, mine was completely dead, I changed the batteries, changed the charger, I tried everything. I searched on the internet, my mother's was supposedly the keyboard, I tried removing the keyboard and it worked, on mine, it was supposedly the sensor or MOSFET chip or something like that, This video shows exactly the symptom and its supposed solution: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fs-GkNj7-qQ.
My mother doesn't use the computer much, she solves everything with the phone, so for now I left her with the keyboard disconnected, and in the case of mine, desperate I hit my laptop hard (the chassis bent a little) and suddenly it started working... so what was it? If it were a burned, broken sensor it wouldn't have been solved with a hit, when I turned my computer on, I realized that the date was out of adjustment, and that it didn't work well with the keyboard either, when I turned it off to turn it back on then it was giving the symptoms of my mother's computer, so I disconnected the keyboard. And it worked fine, now I use it with an external keyboard,
Right now my computer is working as if nothing had happened... what was that?
About my phone, i know this is no the place but just to mention, at the same time my phone (a Samsung galaxy series) suddenly got a message that the charging stopped due too low temperature..
All the three devices where in the same table, slight direct sun exposure, the radiator was two feet distance (off) and the modem and the router one feet distance.. seems to have no sense but it is like if it were a electromagnetic shock or attack or something xD
