My computer wasn't messed up when i first starting using it, but one day I turned on guest and i just started getting used to it. so i always used my guest file and all but a big problem happened some how. instead of my main account (Ben94), Guest became administrator. Now i cant do any features including:
* make new account(when i type something like TEST, it says: you cannot use .,{[}]!?,etc in a account name)
*cant change account types( because i cant make a new account)
* cant give passwords to accounts
* guest cannot check internet connections but ben94 can, but ben94 cant do anything about connections because its a standard account

they are a few things to add to that list but i dont want to go off topic. if there's anyway to fix this, please tell me.

On the remote possiblity, do you have a backup from before the problem existed?

do you have a win 7 dvd to do a repair install?

Please run a system file check

(type cmd in search>right click and run as admin>sfc /scannow

let us know the results

Hello Ben.

This is better than the crack you saw on youtube, I know the one you're referring to and this one works a lot better; there is an option in the tutorial to create a recovery disk, everything you need is in the tutorial at the link below.

Can you borrow a Win7 installer of any version, as we can help you unlock all versions to attempt a http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/3413-repair-install.html?ltr=R which might fix the corruption which occurred to User Accounts.

If not you can clean reistall using the Product Key stickered to your computer: http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/1649-clean-install-windows-7-a.html

If not you need to back up your files and run your Recovery Partition by tapping the key given on the first boot screen for Recovery. You can read exactly how it is done in the Manual for your model computer at the manufacturer's Support Downloads webpage.

If you have questions on any of this, please ask for specifics.

okay, thanks for the help, i will pdate on the post to tell if it works or not

Did you locate a WIn7 installer and attempt a Repair Install? What is the exact error message when it fails? Repair Install

Can you copy your files off of the HD to prepare to do a Clean Reinstall or Run Recovery if necessary?

If not, we can help you retrieve your files using Paragon Rescue Disk from boot.

We need more feedback on exactly what steps you are taking and the results for each step. The more feedback we can get from you the easier it is for us to help you more fully.

If you don't understand a step we will walk you through it if you tell us what the problem is.

When you say "Now I can't do any features" is this since switching to the Guest account? The Guest account is very restricted in what you can do, it's that way by design. If you are trying to do the above from the guest account stop and switch back to your Ben94 user account and try again.
What do you mean when you say "Guest became administrator"? Your privileges are based on the account you "log in with". If it doesn't have administrative privileges you won't be able to do administrative tasks.
I may have misread what you said, If I did please clarify what you meant. I have to admit I did find it a little confusing, but that may be just a lack of coffee on my part. It's early in the day here. :sleepy:

First try burning a Repair CD, boot to see if you can System Restore to before the problem became severe. Once you get to the desktop, use a Win7 installer of your version to run a Repair Install.
System Repair Disc - Create - Windows 7 Forums.URL
Repair Install - Windows 7 Forums.URL

Using the Repair CD you can also copy your files out: Copy & Paste - in Windows Recovery Console - Windows 7 Forums.url

Can you run the Factory Recovery partition by tapping the key given on the first boot screen, or look it up in your Manual at the Support Downloads webpage for your computer model? This will restore to factory condition.

To run the Repair Install or Clean Reinstall, borrow or locate a Win7 install DVD for your licensed version. Easiest to borrow one from a friend. If you download one, be sure to rightclick scan with AV, then check the HASH against the official HASH to make sure nothing was added.

All versions can be unlocked in any installer by extracting the ISO file using ImgBurn, then run the ei.cfg removal tool, burn an all-versions installer to DVD or write to USB flash stick to install your licensed version. http://lifehacker.com/5438005/eicfg...-use-any-product-key-with-your-windows-7-disc

You can try to run Recovery by tapping the key given on first boot screen to Run Recovery. This puts the computer back to where it was when it left the factory. If you can't find the key to press, look in setup literature or read your Manual located on the Support Downloads webpage for your computer model.

On the highly likely chance that your problem is due to an infection, I would wipe the HD before clean reinstalling Win7 to overwrite any infected code: http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/91339-ssd-hdd-optimize-windows-reinstallation.html

Then boot the WIn7 installer to Custom install to the partition you have created: Clean Install Windows 7 - Windows 7 Forums.URL

The installer is mostly driver-complete, with newer arriving quickly via optional Windows Updates. Any drivers then missing can be found on the Support Downloads webpage for your computer or the device model.

Install programs slowly over time to gauge performance changes. Don't let any programs write themselves into msconfig>Startup except AV and gadgets, as others freeload on your CPU/RAM and can spy on you.
http://www.sevenforums.com/crashes-debugging/70248-troubleshooting-msconfig.html

Run a lightweight free AV like MS Security Essentials or Avast 5.

When it is all set up as you like, clean and order the HD perfectly using state-of-the-art CCleaner and Auslogics Disk and Registry defraggers montly. Then save a Win7 backup image externally so you never have to reinstall again.
