This is a screenshot of my secondary computer, what is unnecessary and can be removed? By the way, do you guys know anyway to switch the language to English for Thunder(BT client)?

That depends mostly on what you use the computer for, most if not all of those programs could be removed with no effect on Windows itself.

Only you can decide what you want to keep or not.

As a generic point, I noticed you have multiple apps that perform similar tasks. E.g. you have MS Works, Open Office and Powerpoint viewer. Similarly, you have multiple media players- KM player, SZ player etc. You can try and prune here, if you want to.

type msconfig into the search box on your start menu, and post a screenshot of what you see under the startup tab.

we can then give you some better advice on how to remove unnecessary stuff from your computer - quite often a lot of items on the list can be safely removed, making your startup quicker, and use less memory.

mickey is right on. A few more or less programs in the program library are no harm. But the ones that are in the startup programs need to be controlled.

It also depends on what you are trying to do. Are you wanting to get rid of unnecessary stuff because you are running out of space on your HDD or are you looking to increase performance/reduce memory requirements? In the first case, you will want to remove apps that perform similar functions as Bill2 said, like either MS Works or OpenOffice. In the latter, you will want to do the msconfig thing that Mickey mentioned to reduce the programs that are loaded at boot time.
