Core 2 Quad or Intel i5

In total I really don't wanna spend more then R12,000 (US$1500) on the PC

Well, you're off to a good start then. I built the i5 machine in my specs for less than $900 (US), and that was back when I had 8GB of DDR3 1333 RAM.

The out of stock aint the prob, they useally get stock in a few days, their service is very good.

Good greef, thats one of the reasons why I wana get out of here, EVERYTHING is so dam expensive, we don't even have a 12meg line here yet, yhe fastest is 8megs(1meg/s) and thats almost R1000 p/mnth.

Check link: http://www.afrihost.com/adsl-uncapped.php

If I wana built a PC like blackrose mentioned, I would easally fork out R13000 ($1687), almost double of what he paid. But ja,thats life...haha

The country is beautifull but thats were it stops.....FULL STOP

Stomper, I see you're a fellow Capetonian. Mind if I ask where you're getting your i5 and wh at they're charging? I'll be buying a new rig at the end of the year, either i5 or i7, and so far Cafe Viva have the best deal (check out their home page). Just wanna know if maybe you got something better....

You're not going to need a bunch of fans to keep your cpu cool as long as you get a proper heatsink.
