okay this is ridiculous, the first page is filled with nothing about the actual OS. i think some fillers should be removed, and there's 182 pages of text in which probably half is nothing...
well, i have some things to complain about 7.
1) the feature for a folder toolbar is gone. the one that allows you to drag and drop a folder to the edge of the screen and a new toolbar appears. that saved me a lot of time, any folder i opened constantly could be there along with any shortcuts, it becomes something like the mac toolbar. 7 has this "pin" here crap that's just a glorified version of quicklaunch. and even then it's retarded, it takes up a fingers-worth of space and there's a limit to the amount of shortcuts you can have on it. some people find it annoying when they accidentally drag a folder to the side and let go, well, for one, get some skills, and two, if there are options in turning things on and off/active or inactive, then why can't it apply here, i mean the screens sides aren't doing anything...
2) this power plan option display is fixed to displaying only two plans. what's their problem? is three too much? i swear, either there are way too many laymens being surveyed or they never surveyed computer usage and just threw 7 out there...
3) the safely remove section. what's the deal with newly plugged in devices being randomly placed in the middle of everything when in the previous versions of windows it's the first one (on top). is this microsofts way of playing with us?
4) even though it's not a lot of space, and it's a good idea, why couldn't they just leave the "peek" feature to the corners like every successful program that's done this. ...bottom corner-peek | bottom corner click-show desktop ....top corner-peek windows | top corner click-select specific windows
i recently used aim mail and pressed cntrl+shft+tab and this crazy subwindow showed up. (i type crazy because i had like 70 tabs open..lol) and it revealed all my tabs/webpages. this was interesting but i only know how to get to it by being on aim mails page.
5) after so many version, you'd think the term PC would be closer to it's true meaning. a computer that can be fully personalized.... now, i'm a realestate whore and even though i try to keep it limited by organizing files and folders my desktop get's cluttered all the time. i'm one of those people that likes to save everything to the desktop first and then organize it later, that way i can see what it is, like what picture it is, without having a folder opened. so, why is it that when it comes to the dt (desktop) i have to use some fixed size crap?... why can't i make the icons smaller, the text smaller, and the most important part really, the spacing between each icon tighter?....
i tell yall, windows is trying way too hard to be like apple, and they're failing successfully.(just like M K shame-a-lots new movie, the last airbender, boy was that sad. so bad, it's funny)... they're not apple, and if they ever chose to be, then they're just going to lose customers because we'll just get a damn mac.
they try to make things simple, but along the lines, they lose everything. so now it's not only simple, it's retarded. if they want to simplify things they must stick to what a PC is all about, they must give the options of tweak.
and another thing, this site is great, but when it comes to simplifying and making it easier for people, products should not result in a forum that teaches people how to do things. the teachings, the definitions, the directions....they should all be within the OS.
...well...there's my three cents...if someone would like to prove me wrong...you are welcome to.
