Hi, I hope I'm posting this to the right forum. I wanted to ask if there's a way to customize what types files appear in what order when you group them by type? All of my PSD files appear above my folders when I group by type, but I want the folders to be on top. How can I change this?

I cant get anything but the folder to be on top. When ever I click on say folders and mp3 no matter which way it is sorted by type folders are on top.

I to want folders to be on top / basically first in list when i group by type just like in XP, Windows 7 always puts my folders way down a list of bunches of files making it hard to find folders, Example i have a Downloads folder with several folders. Example: utorrent folder, frostwire folder, downthemall folder, and several other folders that fit a similar criteria for other downloading programs, Not only that i have about 600 files in my downloads folder besides whats nested in the other folders so i have lots of scrolling to do to find the folders and that's very annoying, Yes i know i need to do some cleanup as i prob have several old versions of several files that i no longer need like the last 10 versions of catalyst lol,

Edit any fix appreciated. but i did see this in vista forum, http://www.vistax64.com/vista-general/65432-group-type-folders-first.html

In registry key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\Directory
change the value of FriendlyTypeName to [File Folder] or _FileFolder(where _ is space character to be more elegant)

Mine is currently set to @shell32.dll,-10152 so is it safe to change to space FileFolder or will this screw something up?

Edit: renaming it to [File Folder] seemed to do the trick though the other way with the space didn't, it may of worked if i included the _ instead of space though. I see the brackets when i name it [File Folder] but not to big of a deal but be nice if i could find an invisible character to use instead?
