any of the 9xxx series will prove well in your case, just dont expect to achieve anything above 6.0 in WEI. not even the gtx295 gets 7.0. WEI is purely to rate your hardware to the latest thats available and upcoming to the I.T. market. it pressures the end consumer to upgrade to achieve higher scores, in turn manufacturers will love this because its more sales, so i think they will all be jumping towards win7 drivers far quicker than they did for vista, nvidia have been working with lickyoursoft for the entire win7 project. and Gates will be rubbing his hands together with a cheesy grin. lol

decide on your budget, check the web, online stores (ebay,newegg whatever), get prices from local computer stores, check nvidia and compare the 9 series cards for specs (tip, the more ram and higher bus width on the single gpu the better, thats why the gtx series are killer)

as far as ive read the 9800gtx are a good card. not sure on the prices though.

oh and no matter what dont buy a 9800gx2. lmao

off topic are there any ppl that have or used a EVGA nForce 790i SLI FTW DIGITAL PWM? i killed my xfx 790i ult so im thinking of upgrading to that board. id go with an intel chip but i need sli and ddr3.

Dont expect SLI to improve your score, from what Ive been told Windows 7 only tests the first card or GPU in a sli setup for WEI, I have Quad SLI with 2 295+'s and am only geting a 6.4, from what others are telling me a 275 would give you the same score, but that wouldn't reflect performance in games or applications, just in WIE scores, I'm still geting a vantage score of almost P36000.

Just installed the new Nvidia driver 185.85 and both my scores went up by .1, the only thing I need now for a decent score is a new hard drive.

Good job,now you need a SSD drive,
I just loaded the new drivers (185.85) and mine went up .1 as well, so I'm at 6.5

yeh i got quad 98gx2's and i get 6.0.
damn that's a good vantage score, mind you the i7's are killing the scores now compared to the q series. my best with my system was p25500 and 3d06 was around 22000. i used to be able to run 3d06 in vista and win7 but i can remember how i got it working as it shows the openAL error, even if i d/l openAL from the creative site its till doesn't fix it.

Kinda sucky I know, but meh. I have all 5.9's in Vista x64. Maybe my drive score will go way up when I get a SSD in here.
