Very Kool, loving it...i got the x64 bit version and flash works!!

I didn't even think to check for that until I saw your post. Flash is not working on my end in the 64 bit version of IE 9.


EDIT: I'm going to check out the Flash preview versions now...

EDIT 2: Preview Flash version works great in the 64 bit IE 9. Thanks, Adamsuail, for the heads up!

EDIT 3: I still have full screen flash on dual monitors even when the flash window in IE 9 64 bit loses focus.

My x64 IE9 beta is working perfectly with flash, with the "Square" x64 flash installed.

Just remember everyone, you must update "Square" manually, and when a final comes, uninstall it first, to install the final.

1. No Search box. I found that useful in IE8, especially when I could quickly do a search with any of my allocated search providers.
2. No means of opening a Favorite in a new tab in the same manner as IE8 (i.e. the right-pointing arrow to the right of a favorite name is no longer there). This means having to right-click and select Open in new tab. Groups are not affected.

2. Just middle click on the favorite tab to open.

I add the fact that tabs are at the top. There should be an option to put the tabs below the address bar because currently, the interface is terrible. It's far too reminiscent of Chrome and I never really liked that interface so this screams bad idea to me.

Me too, but we made it.

ETA - I'm using the 64 bit version with the 64 bit "Square" and so far I'm impressed. Can't make it the default browser though.

I've been using Chrome for so long that I am already used to the fact that the search bar is now integrated into the address bar. Pinning websites to the taskbar and the start menu is a cool feature, though not particularly useful for me, personally. And the navigation arrows can change color depending on the website you visit, that is just awesome.

At first glance the performance of the browser makes it clear that it is just a beta; in my case, a page will load only when the browser caches most of it (excluding pictures and flash ads) and this process isn't consistent with what the animation on the tab displays.

There's a lot of stuff left behind from IE8, both good and bad. The good are that all the old settings from IE8 are saved: addons, extensions, accelerators and their options etc.
The bad part is that if I choose to display the favorites bar, it looks exactly like in IE8, therefore it strikes me as pretty ugly and annoying. Also, choosing to "pin" the favorites explorer bar, which initially appears on the right, will be pinned to the left. Yuck. The download manager is clean and usable, once I set the folder in which I want to download all my files, I'm ready to go. The only bad side is that the download manager isn't displayed by default when the download starts. Also, the popup tab that shows up on the bottom of the browser window looks like its just misplaced to me, and there doesn't seem to be an option to move it around.

Still have to test Flash and Java, but overall... Its very, VERY different, and most definitely an improvement.

yeah when you install it is asks you to restart then when you get back on you just have IE9 but i think it's worth it because im really loving this so far, everything seems to work for me, flash and my settings and layout i like to have is still there.

Kiosk mode can be toggled on/off with F11
