Sorry, I should have been more specific. I meant a command line switch to open in kiosk mode on every start. I use this feature for web games shortcuts for the kids (Chrome). Would like to see it in IE.

Try editing the shortcut and adding a -k at the end

Here's the one I just tested

Code:
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe" -k

If you want to restore the Command bar, Favorites bar, and status bar, right-click to the right of the New Tab button, and then select them on the menu.

I think I can work around the tabbing issue. However, I still feel that the lack of the search box is a big mistake, especially when you can still configure search providers. What's the point, when there is no way of accessing them?

In addition, due to the address bar and the page tabs being on the same line, it means that I cannot view the full address. True, I can adjust the size of the bar, but at the cost of a reduction in size of the page tabs, meaning that it can be difficult to see at a quick glance which page you have in which tab. What I would like to see is the address bar being replaced above the page tabs with the search box to the right of it as in the IE8 interface.

In short, I would like to see a return to the IE8 interface and layout, but keeping the new IE9 engine under the hood.

I've never,, on the various MS blogs, seen so much hype for a product.

With so much overcompensation, then I can only assume that IE 9 is only a slight improvement over IE 8 and that in reality they are hoping to take market share away from a couple of other very popular, and in my opinion superior, browsers.

A good product speaks for itself.

The address bar is the search bar. The Seach Providers can be access while you type or click the little down arrow in the address bar.

I wish the <- and -> could be moved over near the HOME-FAVORITES-TOOLS icons. Being right handed, I seem tp spend more time with the mouse on the right side of the screen.
