When going to download the initial file that itself is a webinstaller allowing you to select the options you want like messenger, Live Mail, I think even the Live Mesh may be an option, and a few other things. Mostly all this is still 32bit in order to universal with XP and Vista as well as for 7.

Won't work on XP. This ver is for Vista and Win 7 only.

I installed the beta and wished I hadn't until a actual release came. The beta went wrong for me.

I am hoping this will fix problems I had with beta, as Windows Live messenger was messed up for me.

Thanks to Airbot we all know that now! Review the link he posted for a few other things to note.

I suspect as well as what is seen with the IE 9 beta hardware not software rendering as referred to on the page there is all tied together. The old version is simply too old and being left behind!

No more beta?! The release seen here is the "final beta" since the finished version won't be available until Q1 2011. This is the updated beta before that is seen and went on better then seen with the first when installed on Vista a few months back showing it's coming better so far for general use.

Face Book is another question there. I can imagine there still will be a few more bugs to work out as far as FB and the other options.

As far as I know this is the final release. Not a pre-release version of any kind.

Downloaded this yesterday and I think I may have identified a Windows Live Mail issue (Build 15.4.3502.0922). I'm syncing with my [email protected] account.

In the Sent Items about 50% of my outgoing messages are not properly displaying the "To" field. In those "To" fields it shows my name rather than the recipient. The correct To field will only display properly when the individual message is opened. I don't have this issue looking at the same messages in Outlook 2010.

I don't know if other people are/were having trouble installing this over the beta, but I was! I tried to install a number of times and got close~ 95% plus. Then it would tell me that it could not install one part so it did not install any. Finally I thought I would uninstall the beta and start over. The uninstall gave me the option to repair so I did that. It churned away for awhile and then told me to to restart. Them I tried again to install the new and it went right through to the end. Mission accomplished! So if you are running into this type of difficulty try the 'repair' option on uninstall.

+1, I'd like to know as well, but I need to look further into the options maybe I missed it.

Set the options to check for new mail and set an alarm. And then hit the minimize button at the top of the main page.

Is this a tip to keep it running in the system tray? because if it is, its not working for me... :'(
