So, I was trying to add a component to Windows Live Essentials on a computer in my office and was unable to do so. It comes up and says "Preparing for Install", but doesn't seem to ever do anything.
I suspected at first it was a result of some Windows updates that I approved yesterday for install from WSUS, but there are people in my office who didn't get the updates yet and they too are having problems.
If somebody could try, just launch the installer and see if you can get anywhere or if you just hang.
Eventually, I got an error saying my "internet connection was not working". But my Internet is up and working just fine.
