Windows 7: Monitor Tint

Monitor Tint

The best way to describe it is it looks like I'm viewing my monitor through polarized sunglasses. There's a yellow/green tint. It happened (coincidence?) after I burned a music CD using Windows Media Center. Prior to that and for the past year it's worked perfectly. It's NOT a monitor issue. The reason I'm sure is that I use the same monitor for my work computer, too (use a Belkin switch). The monitor looks fine when I'm viewing my work computer.

Things I've tried:
- Calibrated colors
- Checked for NVidia driver updates (mine are current)
- Downloaded all current Windows updates
- Uninstalled and reinstalled the video driver

Thank you for any assistance you can offer.

Yes but have you checked the color settings? Don't know anything about Nvidia but here's ATI's tab.....

must admit, it sounds like a "Temperature" problem..
moving the slider up and down does produce some strange tinting effects..

can't recall where the settings are on an NVidia card..

Yeah that's the sole purpose of the temperature slider. Graphic artists, photographers find this setting very useful. Also some programs call them "White Points".

Anyway I've found that the settings on ATI's software is a bit wonky so I've bypassed it in favor of the software my monitor uses.

I would suggest the OP check video card's setting on the affected PC since he states in happens on one but not the other.

Green Tint no longer present on display, everything has red tint
My daughter had changed the background image on her desktop when "something" popped up in the bottom right corner related to color. Whatever she clicked after resulted in the entire screen tinted red. This occurred in not just her user profile but changed every user profile including admin. I've...

Having trouble with a pink tint on my screen?
It's something I done, I know that for sure. I have an Asus X54C laptop (got it not too long ago) and I wanted to take a picture of something to show my friend, and I lost my phone! So I decided to use the laptop camera, but couldn't remember what to press to make the software start up. Stupid me,...

Could someone tint these?
These icons are from TrueTransparency(I use it on Win7 Starter to make my windows transparent). Could someone tint them red, but still have them transparent? Thanks in advanced.

Photos have a blue tint
Here's a weird one. When I open photos in Windows Photo Viewer, they look correct. When I open them in any other application, or use one as a desktop background, there's a blueish tint that, while it doesn't look ridiculous, isn't what the picture should look like. Anyone know how to...
