The AS SSD benchmark program is designed for SSDs, not for HDDs.

It writes 1GB of info during the test, must have been a long test on the HDD.

CrystalDisk or HD Tune are good benchmarks for the HDDs.

My thought is that they wanted to be like "Look! We have a SATA III/6Gbps SSD out NOW!"

The article did state that other manufactures are waiting to release their products on newer controllers...
