I'm envious. I think that means we all should have a New Years party at Paul's house.
I love how some SSD's accually is getting beat by my 1Tb SSHD from Seagate ( in the tops. It loses when it comes to long term work becouse the SSD Runs out)
But you cant beat how stable ssd speeds are. Thoose are amazing
Size does make a difference, but still...
Replaced this OCZ Vertex 3 128 GBs SSD:
With Samsung 840 Pro 256 GBs SSD:
Doing so, pretty much cut the access time to half. And that's with stock setting, without the rapid mode, that may or may not be activated.
I've got to replace my Intel 520 240 GBs SSD, it pails in comparison to Samsung 840 Pro. Especially the write speed:

Very good upgrade Cr00zng. I have an 840Pro and EVO and I'm happy with both. I think it's more to do with the Samsung multi-core controller and using their own NAND that makes them faster.
I don't suppose there's anyone here running Windows 8.1? I ask because AS SSD hasn't never run for me under 8.1 without error....
That said, after closing out the error box I got this score....
Don't know how accurate it is, but it is with Rapid Mode enabled using Samsung's Magician software.
Interestingly enough though, I can bench my Vertex 4 SSD drive without error. Not however though that it's not the OC drive, but E-drive instead...
