RAM help on Biostar M7VIZ

Hello, I have an old Certified Data computer with the Biostar M7VIZ motherboard (Biostar USA)
It's a desktop pc, and not the one my account specs relate to.

It does not currently have windows 7 installed as it does not have enough ram, yesterday I went to the store and picked up a stick of desktop DDR2 ram. The guy there asked me if I new it was DDR2? I embarassingly said no and went home to check. Im not sure which type though as the ram already in the machine says DDR333 but on the website it says it can take

2 x 184-pin DDR SDRAM DIMM
Maximum 2.0 GB
DDR 200/266/333

I'm confused, which kind should I get?

DDR 333 is if I remember right a 144 pin ram, and DDR2 is not compatible with the ram slots of the DDR 333. The DDR 333 is considered DDR1. The DDR 333 is the fastest of the DDR ram.

DDR = 184 pin (close Lee )

DDR 333 mHz = PC2700 memory

You need to tell the dude that you need PC2700 memory.

DDR2 = no good for you

PC3200 = fastest "normal" DDR ram @ 400 mHz stock. They make faster ones too.

Moral of the story. Purchase PC2700. Not so cheap because of dated technology. Weird, I know. You want at the very least to have 1 GB total memory. 2GB is max.

Seriously? I have two matching kit sticks sitting here if you'd like to purchase them of PC2700. 512 MB each totaling 1 GB by Elixir. I'll hook you up. Let me know.
It's 2 of these -

I used to run them overclocked at 400 MHz for many years. They are intended for that as you can read in the link. Perfect condition.

Alright, I hear ya. But when you find out what he wants to charge you compared to the $30 USD I'll charge you, plus shipping, for these 1GB, you may reconsider.

Matter of fact, anyone wants this, p.m. me. I could be trusted as I'm a helpful member here with a good standing rep.

1GB is plenty for a low end computer and I even have found that enough for myself. I do all kinds of video/audio editing too and other advanced stuff. Play latest games etc..
