Windows 7: USB 3.0 vs 2.0

I have both USB 3.0 and Sata 3.0

cant benchmark since i dont have the devices for it

Windows Seven Ultimate 64bit + Vista Ultimate 32bit SP2 Dual Boot
 
 

I just installed an ASUS U3S6 PCIe x4 card with two internal SATA III and two external USB 3. Have not tested performance as I just got it to get my SATA II SSD off my motherboard; they did not cooperate well. This card is quite inexpensive.

It is running but I have no USB 3 or SATA III devices to test. Works nicely for my SSD though (SATA II of course), and was easy to install.

Just ordered this WD 1TB USB 3.0 The supplier ran CrystalDisk to test

I suggest AS SSD Benchmark for your SSD (It's better for SSDs than HD Tune IMO)

Is that compatible when connected to a USB 2.0 port ???
or can it plug into a USB 2.0 ???
