Internet stopped working but skype still connects.

Hello yesterday I installed windows 7 build 7022 all worked fine but today suddenly internet stopped working.

It shows that I am still connected and it even connects to skype and enable me to use RDC to connect to my home pc but I cant open any website or join msn.

I tried reinstall NOD32 and other problems that think might cause the problem but nothen works.

Please help me I dont want to reinstall windows again and I dunno whats wrong I searched on google there were some talks about DNS not resolving or port 80 but nothen work from what they suggested as possible fixes.

I believe the problem is about tcp/up and winsock errors.

its a known bug.

FIXED IE 8 UNCONNECTIVITY PROBLEM

I have had the same problem trying te get IE 8 to connect to the internet, so, after troubleshooting a java installation problem, I discovered why IE 8 wasn't connecting and I have solved the problem [for me at least].

1.Enable proxy settings in Internet Options
Control Panel > Network and Internet > Internet Options > Connections tab > LAN Settings > Click the box "Use a proxy Server for your LAN..."
