help anyone...
don't know if this the correct thread to post this.
I can't seem run WEI successfully in windows 7. I always get BSOD. In vista i have no problem running it.
keep getting this error:
running 790gx & 3450 in hybrid crossfire. already updated to latest 9.3 driver. window 7 was clean installed 3 times already. even on the default windows 7 driver it won't run.
p.s. My 3D CAD app Solidworks 2008 and 2009 works just fine in windows 7.
thanks in advance.

your running 2 different model cards in crossfire? maybe take the older one of the 2 out and then try it? i had prblems with quad sli in my setup, but when i remove the sli bridge it works just fine, maybe your problem is similar. i would remove the 790gx and just try wth 3450 (not a bit ati fan but is the 790gx older?)
see if that can help.
also your error should show a part in the log with something like error code: 0x033 or something like that, you need that code and the faulting module (file name like ntfs.dll or something like that) when the BSOD comes up.
every time it BOSD is it the same code and fault?
hello LoVac and welcome
you are running a 8800 series while brink is running a 9600 series...
that is the reason for the change in shared memory...
at this moment its has to be hardware related...
hybrid crossfire is not really ready (as far as i have seen...)
and so i believe the ati driver would be the cause for this (as hybrid crossx is not stable even in 9.3)
also the 790gx is a integrated graphics....
because im running the mobile version of the 780 series and the way it works is the hd3200 and a separate graphic running in crossfire ...
i believe its the same for the 790 series...
all he need to do is to disable it in the motherboard....
and it wont any difference if it was enabled...
it seems the wei benchmarks only one GPU and as such you wont see any change but having them even in crossfire...
i just disabled hybrid crossfire from ati cc and run WEI with just my discrete HD3450. same BSOD. i'll try to disable the m/b 3300 in the bios as per your suggestion and run it again.
at bloke: i'll take note of the error code on BSOD next time i run wei.
thanks for all your inputs.
finally. however, the result is with the integrated vid HD3300. the discrete vid HD3450 still resulted in bsod even after disabling the HD3300 in the bios.
also, there was no error code or faulting module (xxx.dll) on the bsod. just the bug check code that i have posted earlier. all resulted in BCC: 1000000ea.
anyway, thanks for the inputs. i'll investigate some more why the my discrete vid is having problem. it's older than the integrated HD3300 so its driver should have been more mature.
