lol its more of a brag rights thing to sit it at 4ghz, it is only 170mhz away from my 3.83 stable setup so not much point. maybe 4.2ghz
lol, yeah. e-peen is ok, but if it's not going to give an increase in FPS, then a few hundred points on a few scores isn't really worth running the chip so hard. Then again...

i just thought the mem speed would have more of an affect than fsb settings on ram. guess we learn something new everyday. 83mhz increase on fsb, 34mhz decrease on ram= 100mb/s increase in winsat.
Yep. I don't feel so bad about running my 1100mhz ram at 888mhz anymore. If I want the speed, up the FSB :)

    +1 for Auslogics defragger too.

got my cpu stable at 3.9ghz, 1837mhz fsb, mem is at 2004mhz (1002mhz) got the timings as low as i could go, not too different from when i was running them at 1801mhz.
cpu idle is 1.320, 100% intel burn test drops as low as 1.264-1.248, i set the vcore in bios to 1.36325 and the bios value shows 1.32. goes to show how much vdroop these things have, and it gets worse when getting into a higher fsb/vcore which is why i think i have so much trouble going over 3.9ghz. anyway...

    winsat increases a little.

no mind you if i had 7057 it prob would as 7000 x64 is limited to 5.9 for ram, even if you theoretically score more than 5.9 and only have 4gb ram it will not tell you which sucks. but whether it goes up is a different story in 7057.

i seem to hit a wall at 1885fsb, i reduced the multi to 7, under clocked my ram so it wouldn't be an issue, and hit the fsb to 1886, no post. 1885 it posts no problem? i suppose this is the disadvantage of a 8.5 multiplier. and 1885 fsb with 8.5 multi is 4005mhz, which i cant get to boot anyway. lol

It's looking good either way mate :)

I've got weird issues with vdroop. CPU-Z shows my volts going UP instead of DOWN when running IBT and P95.... ie idle at 1.336 then under load up to 1.344 and higher etc I don't know if it's LLC or something else, but I have a high overshoot that needs to be tweaked

Yeah, so far I haven't found one. Haven't really searched to hard TBH. All the references I've found mention that the LLC is "supposed" to be the pencil mod

I crash like the Hindenburg with it disabled
